Sentar is seeking a Security Specialist in Huntsville, AL!

Role Description:

As a Security Specialist, you will support all facets of Sentar’s Security Program.

The Security Specialist reports directly to the FSO and assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies and procedures.

• Familiarity with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), and Electronic Application (eAPP)
• Provides and tracks security briefings, debriefings, and training for employees
• Is an active member of the onboarding team to present initial security briefing and obtain required security documentation
• Maintains company personnel security clearance records
• Processes and tracks employee security clearances, investigations, form completion, visit requests
• Submits CAC requests, and other contract-specific requirements
• Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections, including FCL Self-Inspections
• Assists with the administration of company CUI processes and compliance
• Supports other company security disciplines as needed in connection with specific projects
• Other duties as assigned by the FSO

This is a part-time, hybrid position that requires in-person presence in the Sentar Huntsville office at least 2 days a week. The work hours are from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday – Friday.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years of industrial security experience
• Must complete, or have completed the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum within six months of employment
• Familiarity with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule
• Strong computer skills
• Must be able to interpret and implement security policy, and provide guidance, oversight, and assistance to company personnel
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Must have strong interpersonal skills

Clearance Level:

• Secret or ability to obtain Secret Clearance
