Sentar is seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of web-based analytical software for the CAMEO mission. This pivotal role requires a strong background in software engineering, system security, and development for rotary-wing aircraft.

Role Description:

The selected applicant will perform a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Lead the development and maintenance of web-based analytical software for rotary-wing aircraft, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Manage and upgrade MongoDB databases (version 4.x and greater), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Utilize Apache Tomcat server environments for software deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and integrate systems using Java Developer Kit (JDK) and ensure compatibility with various XML file schemas.
• Ensure security compliance by implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), and performing vulnerability scanning.
• Enhance user experience by developing interactive 2D/3D graphics using frameworks like Plotly and WebGL.
• Work with modern software frameworks (Bootstrap, Angular) to build responsive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems with Web Services Description Language (WSDL) for service-oriented architecture.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development and security protocols.

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Experience:

• 5 years developing web-based analytical software for rotary-wing aircraft
• 5 years working in development environments with Apache Tomcat server
• 5 years working in development environments with Mongo database version 4.x and greater; upgrading Mongo databases
• 5 years working in development environments with Java Developer Kit (JDK)
• 5 years working in development environments processing XML files of various schema definitions
• 5 years’ experience in hardening systems, End of Life (EOL) updates, and vulnerability scanning [implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability (IAVMs), and Fortify SCA software preferred]
• Experience working in development environments with modern software frameworks (Bootstrap and Angular framework preferred)
• Experience building user interactive 2D and 3D graphics (Plotly and WebGL preferred)
• Experience integrating with Web Services Description Language (WSDL)
