Test Engineer - MID

Location: Chantilly, VA

Sentar is seeking a Test Engineer in Chantilly, VA!

Role Description:

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating software tests, automating test cases, performing application testing, validating bugs, and isolating issues. You will ensure the quality and reliability of applications that support a forensic and investigative ecosystem across multiple enterprise applications in a multi-enclave environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create software tests and automate test cases for enterprise applications
  • Perform application testing, validate bugs, and isolate issues
  • Write and initiate tests and analyze and report test results in the ticketing system
  • Perform configuration management, change management, and release management
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports
  • Identify and document problems and issues, providing guidance on root-cause and remediation
  • Support the presentation and formal review of test results
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
  • Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

Clearance Level:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance

  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, etc.) preferred

Proficiency with:

    • Software testing methodologies
    • Test automation frameworks
    • Test case development and execution
    • Defect tracking and management
    • Basic scripting for test automation
    • Performance testing concepts
    • Regression testing techniques
    • Test documentation and reporting
    • Basic security testing
